Decks & Railings
We have experience in doing all sorts of deck projects! Whether your looking for an extravagant design, or a nice simple platform to sit back and relax, we can get the job done on time, and on budget! Visit our gallery to see some of our work.
We use the highest quality pressure treat lumber, and offer installation of Composite decking.
There are many styles of railings to choose from. (See our Gallery) Railings are required by code after a deck is above 24 inches. All our railings are structural strong and although ascetically beautiful the protect from falls and injury. Glass, aluminum, wood, and stainless steel are commonly used for railings.
We work hard with our clients to create the desired style of fence as well as providing the necessary privacy. All fencing support posts or piles are placed well below area frost lines so that your beautiful new fence doesn’t move over the seasons ensuring you keep your fence for decades. All our fencing projects are first checked with local bylaws and regulations so that you won’t have any issues just a solid structure you can enjoy.
You can choose from a wide variety of materials for your fence from pressure treated fence boards to composite panels. Customize it further with solar lighting caps and recessed LED accents.
Check out our photo gallery for pictures of various styles! We are working on our gallery so that you can see our work. We don’t use stock photos, everything you see on this site is proudly done by BRAG Contracting.
Post Holes or Helical Piles
Important! Fence and deck support structures MUST be below the frost line and placed on undisturbed soil in order to ovoid excessive movement of your deck or fence. In most of southern Ontario 1.2 meters or 4 feet deep is the normal minimum. But depth of the supporting posts is not the only thing to consider. Your project must rest on undisturbed soil. “Aerated” soil or loose soil from excavation or even soil that might fall back into a post hole is not strong (dense) enough to bear the weight of much, and could be the reason part of your structure sinks even several inches.
Every project begins with a clean deep foundation space. You can count on B.R.A.G. Contracting for the best start for any backyard project.
